Warranty Policy

Unless otherwise specified (on invoice by period of time in brackets), most products (exclusions are certain printers and scanners) are covered with a one year warranty (many items have additional warranties---these are direct with manufacturer only). For the first thirty days an immediate replacement will be issued if possible. All products must be tested by OEM Express and found defected by an OEM Express technician to be eligible for replacement. After the thirty day period, the product can be returned to the manufacturer for repair/replacment at the cost of shipping ($10 per product shipped within Canada or $18 for products that need to be shipped to USA, monitors are shipped for $20). There is usually a two to eight week turn around for most products. When possible, it is recommended to return the product directly with the manufacturer (Maxtor, Logitech, etc) for faster service.

For full system that OEM Express builds, there is a one year parts and labour warranty. OEM Express will try to replace any product inside the system for one year. In cases where the exact product cannot be replaced immediately, a similar item may be issued instead or the product may be sent back for repair/replacement at no charge.

All replacement products continue the original warranty. Physical damage, misuse, abuse, improper installation, or modification is not covered by any warranty. Incompatibility does not qualify for being defective. OEM Express will express any compatibility issues known at time of purchase if requested but cannot guarantee compatibility. Systems are built to customer specifications and cannot be guaranteed for compatibility. Please see our Return/Exchange Policy below for getting products replaced. OEM Express reserves the right to charge $15-$30 for NFF (No Fault Found) on any item brought in for warranty work.

To reclaim warranty repair/replacement products, the RMA sheet is required. OEM Express reserves the right to hold the product in question until the proper document is provided. Any other warranty either express or implied is not valid unless agreed to in writing by OEM Express. All warranties are return-to-depot at customer expense. Products purchased from our Stittsville location must be returned to our Ottawa location. At no time will OEM Express be liable for expenses to return the products to our depot.

Refund/Exchange Policy

Products purchased within seven days are eligible for refund, credit or exchange. Products purchased from our Kanata location must be returned to our Ottawa location. After seven days only warranty service will be offered. Refund/Exchange value of product is based on current selling price or original purchase price, whichever is lower. There is a 25% restocking fee for non-defective returns. Unopened retail packages will have the 25% restocking fee waived. Any missing parts or accessories will result in a $25 charge per each missing item. Product must be in resalable condition as decided by OEM Express. There will be no refunds or exchanges for special order products or opened CD Media. Refunds will be given the same way purchased except cash purchases will be refunded on interact/debit.

Privacy Policy

OEM Express respects our customers' privacy. As such, all information submitted to us is used only by OEM Express. Personal information will never be sold to any other companies. OEM Express does not send out unsolicited emails (aka spam), mailings or make phone calls without prior consent.
